Serto company introduction

We are the only company in the world that produces tube unions which can be mounted and dismounted radially. That is not so surprising since we were the ones to invent this tube union in 1952. We also invented the metal-to-metal seal.

Our products were put to the test in a rather unusual project in 1960 when they traveled to a depth of 11'000 meters with Jacques Piccard on his record-breaking dive.

Good connections are important to us We’ll do anything for a good connection. For connections to our customers and partners, as well as connections between two, three or four tubes. Besides our sophisticated standard products, we also offer custom-made, special solutions.

Serto - the clever connection

It is often the simple things that outlive generations or even entire development cycles. The best example: SERTO radial installation.

When the nut is tightened down, the clamping ring is deformed and constricts lightly around the tube without producing a notch. In the area of the constriction and at the “clamping ring/base part” joint, the deformation forces produce high specific surface-area pressure contacts which gurantee a firm hold of the tube and tight metallic sealing.

By virtue of the elasticity of the clamping ring system SERTO is extremely resistant to vibration and pressure shocks, insensitive to temperature changes and excellently suited for multiple refittings and releasings.

SERTO - stands for a unique modular system. The union can be fitted or released radially thus eliminating the need to displace or even bend tubing runs. An operationally dependable joint can only be ensured by the exclusive use of original SERTO parts, as well as by expert mounting.

  • Radial mounting and dismounting for times without number

  • Ideal for installation in limited space

  • Easy to assembly, no need for special tools

  • Fitting can be released without bending tubes

  • Fitting wont damage the surface of the tube

  • Exceptional resistance to vibrations

  • Resistance to quick changes in temperature or pressure

  • Flat face sealing; no O-ring, washer needed

  • Can be pre-assembled into the tube before installation

  • Modular product system; allows part interchange ability and reduces stock size

  • Density: 10-7 mbar*l/s
